Hi… Thanks for clicking on this part. I’m Dana and I started Photography by Dana Rae for many reasons, but mostly because taking pictures makes me happy. Pictures are one of the most important “things” – as in physical stuff – we can give our children (and their children and so on). Not only can a picture be beautiful, it can be an heirloom. Something a great, great grandchild looks back on with wonder — “wow, look how strong pappy was” or “gram looks really pretty” or “mom still wears that necklace.” My hope is this is something I can give to your family – a piece of history to look back on and laugh, cry, joke, and admire.

I (admittedly) have a hard time introducing myself this way, so instead here’s a few things you should know about me:

My primary job is staying at home with our 4 boys. I went to Pharmacy school and still am a licensed pharmacist, but whenever I thought of being a mom I always thought of being at home with my children. I consider photography an awesome bonus.

I’m not fancy. I can really appreciate someone who is, but it’s not my jam. Sandals, jean shorts, and a sweatshirt are my life uniform.

Home is where my heart is. No matter where you go, there is - truly - no place like home. This would be even more true if I lived in Hawaii... just saying.
